"Third Base"
is an after school child care program. Its name originated from the
game of baseball, wherein the last place before scoring at home is 3rd
base.
Supervision and
instruction for "Third Base" are provided by kindergarten
teacher, Louise Simmons.
General
Information
The program will
operate each day school is in regular session between the hours of 2:15
and 5:00 p.m. Third Base will not operate on early out days or if school
is closed early due to weather.
The charge per hour
is $2.00. There is a family discount, a second child will be charged
at $1.00 per hour. The program is self supporting and payments should
be made in a timely manner. Billing will done twice a month, on the
15th and the 30th.
If you would like
for your child to participate call the school office between 8:00 a.m.
and 1:30 p.m. This service can be used daily or as an occasional after
school care. However, the number is limited to 20.
Program will begin the first day of school.
Emergency information
should be communicated during the first day of participation (ex. allergies,
handicaps, etc.) Telephone numbers will be taken from the school emergency
cards.
The program is limited
to children enrolled at Whitethorn School.
Please note that
children who misbehave may lose their eligibility to participate.
